I hope it will dry. The temp in in the shade of the front porch at 11:00am. My air don't work too good on the mowing tractor. The hay is at my son's and it is 22 miles from home so I will bale with the mow tractor also. What fun!

I saw some contraption back there, but the last time I cut hay was about '84 with a New Idea semi mount sickle behind a leaky Moline "R" with no brakes. A haybine was way to technologically advanced at that time. :)

I have been known to mow in road gear. Not any problem to mow hay at 10 to 14 mph. I cut hay all the time a 8 to 10 acres and hour. The only time I use a haybine is in early spring or sappy hay. That old mower in around 10 years old and still going. The trick to keeping them going is to change the bar oil every year.

Wish I had some to cut. I have tried every thing else to get it to rain, watered the garden, washed the truck, any thing I can think of. Me cutt'n hay always seems to work, maybe I can cut some of these beans so the rest of them will make something.

Got lucky this year, was just under 100 degrees. Mowed 1 morning, followed the mower with a tedder, tedded next morning, raked and baled that evening and next morning.

830 case-o-matic best disc mower tractor going. Eagle hitch no sway bars to mess with fast hook up. Case-o-matic lets you get the disc mower up to speed before you take off. Have mowed in 8th or road gear with it. Have officially wore out two disc mowers with it as of today mine locked up. I should not have bragged on it. Now to find the money for a different one. New ones are so high. Don't trust a used one so many working parts and people don't service them like they should.
