Steam Paegeant in Canandagua,N.Y

I haven't been in decades. Does it generally co-incide with the farm show?
I saw a few antique tractors at the farm showit's been a few years since I've been there. But down on the end where it used to be packed with antique tractors it was empty!
Did they get chased off? Would they likely be at the steam show? Was looking for an old friend who has F-12's H's etc.

Yup going with my dad and brothers on friday. The theme this year is IH, cant wait! Yeah the efd is cool to see the new equipment but we like the old stuff better

Dad and I were going to go Fri, tag the Super C and Super H along for the pull...unfortunately I have some training @ work that day that if is miss it will hold up a promotion for another month, so we are just gonna be observers and lookers on Sat. I love the show, but geez the flea market area that used to be almost all tractor related stuff: toys, clothes, parts has really become just a rotten junk fest...and what parts ya do find are certainly no deal now! I remember on year we got a NOS still in the box and yellow primed nose for our Super C for $75...ahhh the good old days.

I am going Saturday with a friend to meet some other friends. Went to Empire Farm Days Wednesday and the crowd was pretty light till lunchtime. Mennonite crowd I thought was extremely small. Vendors complaining about light interest but at same time did not seem engaging to the crowd. I would say that problem was mainly limited to younger representatives that only God knows what they think their customers should look like. I had clean clothes on, showered with deodorant, and shaved with hair cut short. Usually look very presentable. I did see the forage harvesting exhibition and it amazes me how big the machines are today.

(quoted from post at 02:01:53 08/12/10) And there's not a fraction of what used to be down on the west end.

That's because of the Canandaigua show.

All the IH tractors are in Canandaigua for the "Red Power Charge" an event held by IH Collectors Club Chapter 35. They piggy-back it on a different event each year. This year they're holding it with the Pageant of Steam.
