O?T Drought may be over

I know I have been whining about drought for the past few years, but I believe we have finally turned the corner in Nw Wisconsin. Just added the total rainfall here since June 1st. 29.4 inches. We didn't get that much in two and a half years before that. I will never complain about too much rain after all those years. Haven't seen corn or hay like we have here in many years. I know many of you are struggling with flooding and I feel for you, but man it feels good to have everything green again!

yep we got 4-1/2 inches last night the water is still running in the ditches, amazing the last 5 years the grass was brown by june this year it needs to be mowed twice a week and the 2nd crop hay is ready to cut if it stops raining for a day or two.

here in Clark co wisconsin, things are getting a little too wet. I am worried about killing off the alfalfa if I cut it right now, Tractor tires sink to the depth of the cleats in 3rd yr alfalfa.

Here in the SW Minnesota/NW Iowa/SE South Dakota area, we have had too much water for most of this summer. Bring your water jug, water truck or mile-long train of tank cars - you can have all you want to take back home!

Ours seems to be just starting here in mid Michigan. Rain to the south and to the north, but the pastures are looking pretty rough around here lately.

We are over 44 inches so far this year. Central Iowa is a mess right now.
Hwy 30 and I35 are closed by Ames and the water is just a foot or two from closing I80 by Colfax.

We have been in a drought for many years. This year April & May were dry but we have been getting good rain since. I have a low spot that used to be wet & had to drive around it, but can still drive through it now. I have hilly land & it is always better to get more rain than needed than too little.
