Somebody stop me............

Thinking about replacing my cute little tractor with something 10 or 15hp more.
I really like this little thing and it does everything I want including a frontloader that I just have to remount. The thing that has me wanting to replace is that a 1.65 meter drum mower is a little too heavy. Mows fine, but steering is tricky. Baler pushes some but I just got an ORC for the PTO. This thing fits everywhere I need to go. Recommended is a 1.35 meter (41/2 ft) drum mower that I can get used sometimes for 500 bucks or new for 1000. Replacing the tractor with a bigger one will be 3500-4000 bucks.
On another note, my tractor is an antique and good for plenty of beer and bratwurst and oldtimer road trips.

Mom, can I keep it????

I think the frontloader will do that. And I know what I have then also. This thing cost me 700 bucks and 200 for the loader. They are more expensive than the newer models also.
1500 bucks and I can have a new mower, tires, and paint for a paint job.

Dave,Go ahead and buy the 2nd tractor AND keep the old one!Its really nice to have another tractor. You can do your fieldwork without the added burden of the loader, while at the same time always haveing the loader available.Besides, sometimes you NEED two tractors!I say,"you can never have too many tractors"(my wife disagrees).....):^)Steve

very limited space and can't really justify the second one. Would have to pay tax, insurance, and put a license plate on it also.

However, there is a 12, 15, and 17 HP version of what I have now that would fit even better under trees, etc.

Your cheapest way would be to replace the mower. Since you like the tractor, other than the mower problem, I would keep it.
