Comparing experiences

I am looking at a Great Plains no-till grain drill, a pre 1994 model. The difference between this and the post 1994 models seem to be the grain box size and the depth adjustment. Pre is a screw and post is slide bar held in location by tabs.
I've been renting a post 1994 one of these from the local soil conservation agency, they sold it, and it has worked very well.
Has anyone had any experience with one of these Pre 1994 drills? If so what did you think of it and did you have any trouble with the depth adjustment?

I have owned both early and later models. I like the early model depth adjustment better. With the screw adjustment you can fine tune it a little better. Now you need to really look over the colter"s and bearing on the older ones. If they are worn out or lose you can get a lot of money in repairs fast. I think that the bearing are a little heavier on the later ones as well. Not sure on that.
