i made a mistake!

Got a new company truck, a 2010 chevy 1/2 ton with the new 6 speed auto. This transmission should send gm back into bankruptcy. Any body else have any experence? Sure am missing myf150.
 
I've got a 2010 1/2 ton 4x4 and it runs great.You can even shift the auto tranny manually if your pulling a trailer.
 
4x4 with the large v8, less than 1k miles, stumbles and slow to resond on acceleration. Down shifts hard at low speed. Crusing at highway speed it out od overdrive on a slight rise and engine noise is loud.. Am aware of the manual shift capablites. May get better as it breaks in or I get used to it.
 
Well, count yourself lucky! My company downsized me from a 1/2 ton, 4 door, 4X4 Silverado to a Colorado with a 4 cyl engine and crew cab. I have to run it most time in 3 rather than "Drive". The engine sounds like a ------ off cat under the hood.

They are a learning transmission, the first couple of tanks of gas teach it how you drive. Did it have any miles on it before you got it? Some kid from the shop driving the pee out of it?

What engine 5.3/what rear3.73? 3.42? 3.08?
3.08 too much gear for 4x4 i have 2x4 5.3 with 6000 miles great on hills.Slow responce motor may be a 4/8 drops to 4 cyl on cruise Drop factory oil at 3000 it will run better.3:08rear is 2:24in 6 gear top two gears are over direct hope this helps
