861 (Gasoline)(Fouling Plugs)

Today while making furrows my 861's engine began to have a slight miss. It did this before and it was a fouled plug. Is this due to my carb running a bit too rich? This motor was rebuilt several years ago and hasn't really had a lot of heavy usage until lately.

Shoot sorry for posting this here guys. I'll repost this in the Ford forum.

If that carburetor has a main jet adjustment scr/w you probably need to close it some to lean the carb. Hal

Is the coolant temp up to at least 180F and 195F
is better? Many times the idle and main adjustment
is over richened to allow a cold engine to run
smoothly.
The choke may look like it's open but is it
really? Pop the intake hose off the carb and look
in. All too often the choke blade is swung partly
closed.
Is the entire air intake system from inlet to
filter outlet actually clean. Mice, mud daubers
and years of dirt, oil and grease will plug the
passages.
Are the plugs and wires non resistor solid core?
I'm not certain which plug size the 861 uses but
Autolite 3116,216 or 437 work very well.
