1. What is the drop for a 3" toilet pvc sewage pipe for 13'?
2. How do you wire a 4-way light switch?

#1 I use a drop of 1/4" in 4' #2 Every switch that I have bought has a wiring description on the box. Gerald

To control a load from 2 locations, you use two 3-way switches.

If you need control at more than two locations you keeps adding 4-way switches as needed.

3 way is like at the top and bottom of a stairs to turn the same light off/on and a 4 way can be added between those for another location, in my case entering/leaving a living room from three different locations.

I have bought thousands of switches that were not packaged in boxes with wiring instructions. 4 ways are really simple to wire. You are actually just putting them in the circuit between the 2 3 way switches. If you are using 3 conductor wire with a bare ground I use the red and white for what I call my travelers and from each cable they go under the same color screw. Send the current to the opposite end on the black wire. Connect the black wire to the light under the odd color terminal on the 3 way switch.

Bob,
I'm not an electrician but I think the current flow in the 4-Way switch is shown incorrectly. There should be no continuity between the upper terminals or between the lower terminals as your schematic shows.
A 4-Way switch switches continiuty from the upper terminal to the opposite lower terminal in one switch position to continuity from the lower terminal to the opposite upper terminal in the other switch position. This is what the two dotted lines should show in your schematic.

I think you are wrong. One position is paralell & the other is crossed. The light is now on. flip any switch & it will go out. Flip any and it will come back on. I have wired those curcuits from memory more than once.
