hiniker cab ?

I have a hiniker cab on a IH 656 tractor. I want to hook up the power to the wiper, blower and dome light. Where do I connect the wire. I tried to connect it to the starter hub that is always hot and it got too hot and started to burn of the insuloation on the wire. Any help would be great.

Sounds like you have either a short in the cab wiring or accessories drawing too much power or simply had a poor (high resistance) connection that got hot.

(In many cases, the power to tractor cabs for fans, etc. is sourced from the same area you did, then passes through a breaker, then through a constant-duty solenoid that shuts the power off when the key is switched to "OFF" without making the ignition switch carry all the load.)
