Son,grandson and I used a 1466 IH to untangle a 400+ year old oak that was a shade tree in a pasture, that was exploded into a 180 degree fan shape of "pick up sticks" by lighting.Grandson had a grin on his face all the time he was tearing tree size limbs out of the pile.Dad and grandpa were allowed to do the chain and choaker setting.I dont think my W4 was up to the task! It's all saw work now. W4

Them 1466s are beasts ain't they? Guy I worked for, had one with a cab (just for shelter from the poo), dual rice tires, full set of weights on the front, and smaller front tires. We would still get the front tires to come off the ground when we hit a soft spot with the manure spreader. Only time it got stuck was when the tongue of the spreader stuck itself into the mud.

The 66 series tractors were the best IH ever built. Ran a 1066 and a 1466 for several years helping my cousin with his farm.
