3-71 Detroit blower

There is a Detroit Diesel board at Yahoo.
At most there is 5% under, "direct" and 5% over for blower speeds.
If looking for extra airflow. Is there enough room to shoehorn a 4-71 blower on there?
Teflon rotor seals from any decent blower shop will increase airflow too.
Just don't too optimistic with expected HP. Roughly the best a 3-71 with N pistons, C80 injectors, four valve heads, low restriction intake and low restriction exhaust.
Approx 150HP at 2300rpm. Maybe 175HP with a 4-71 blower and seals.

Kida working against yourself if you try much in that order..Better luck craming more air in the blower i.e. exaust turbo ..The othe post is about right I think 175 hp is going to push it..
cAN YOU SIT A 4/71 on the unit. Might be cheaper and more durable in the end.

Thanks for the reply. I have to stay pretty much stock and no turbos. I am pulling it and with the rules i can use what i got but not change motors.
Thanks

Thank you Mr. Swan for your reply.. I am new at this and all advice will help.. and you got me figured out. I do want to make it a puller because there is a Massey Ferguson 95 in Texas making alot of noise I hear about.
Thanks again,
Gunsmoke in Texas
