Any of you fine people ever big a ditch with a plow? I seen somewhere that if you raise the top link enough you can have one plow to start ditch.Any and all suggestions Welcome! Thanks in advance. By the way I'll also be using a 6' blade and 6' box scraper . Thanks Irish

depends on how deep the ditch needs to be, ive dug some drainage ditches using a middle buster followed by a blade at the extream tilt and maximim angle one way or the other works great if you only need a foot or foot and a half or so, any deeper and you cant muck the debris out with a blade

I use my SM and a two bottom. It is a narrow front and on the second pass (opposite direction) I just keep the front in the furrow. The inside bottom makes no contact. Makes a 24" wide ditch.

I rent a farm that the owner dug a ditch over a half mile long to make a field drain better. That ditch is over six feet deep at the crest of the grade. He used a three point rear dump scraper on a 8N Ford. It took him all of his free time over a summer and fall. It did gain him about seven acres of farm ground.
