Hey Old, You wouldn't by chance have a manual for a snap coupler 7' mowing machine would you? I bought 1 yesterday at an auction. Can't find any tag on it @ all. It's a nonpitman type. The cutterbar folds back pretty much over the mower. The pully that runs the belt is on the extreme rear & I've noticed the 80 series has a post in rear & their frame is quite a bit heavier. Looks like a pretty good unit, but I think it's missing the idler pully spring (which is no problem). Any help you could give would be GREATLY appreciated. I've posted on the AC forum but haven't gotten any response yet. Keith
 
I saw your post on the AC forum but I can not help you on that one since I have never seen a snap coupler type sickle mower and the only manual I have for a AC sickle mower is for the mid mount one that goes on the B/C. Sorry
 
Now you do know that fr the most part an sickle mower is a sickle mower and most work the same way. So if you know how to fix one you can fix the rest for the most part. You also know my e-mail; is always open and there are a lot of people who e-mail me and get my phone number to talk one on one with me about troubles they are having. Shoot I even have a doctor that calls me asking about tractor parts. Sure wish he hadn't retired because he at one time was my doctor for my back/shoulder/kee problems LOL
 
He is retired and calling you about your expertise, why can't You being retired call him about his expertise?

I'm guessing you meant to post that to me LOL. Oh I do call him and ask what he thinks and what I might bring up to the doctors I see now at the V.A. hospital. Matter of fact he told me I should ask about seeing a chiropractor. Man I can not believe I spelled it right LOL
 
Just wanted to know what model it is & some of the adjustments without having to do trial & error. Been doing the trial & error thing most of my life LOL. Keith
