Posted a message last week about the pony tractor that would run as long as the key was held on and the starter motor was turning over the engine. JimN, posted info the supply to the ignition is hooked to the wrong side of the starter switch. Can"t quite follow that info. (my stupidity) rvirgil KS , posted step by step and still no success with starting. Now my computer is acting up a little this evening, so will post short messages. Cheers, Murray

Hope we get some rain here in MD we've had 39 days when it the temp was in the 90's a few have been in triple digits. Have you used a volt meter or test lite to see if there's voltage at your coil? With the points open and your ignition switch in the on position you should have voltage on both small terminals on the coil. It there's no voltage here your ignition switch isn't wired correctly. (quoted from post at 16:35:49 07/24/10) Thanks Hal, will try that tomorrow, day"s are getting shorter down here on the east coast. Cheers, Murray

believe hot wire should go to the positive side of the coil
