Deere 730 w/ fuel in crank case

I have diesel fuel in the motor oil of a 730 diesel tractor. I suspect it is bleeding through the fuel pump. Any suggestions on stopping the problem?

Probably the MOST likely cause is that the little fuel transfer pump at the RH side of the engine needs to be resealed.

HOPEFULLY, the shaft isn't too badly worn in the seal area.

It's also possible for LINES under the main pump cover or inside the tappet cover to leak.

Take the pump cover off, start it up and have a look. Wipe everything dry first.Probably one or both of the delivery valve holder copper gaskets has eroded.Very common to those pumps.
