It's 106 degrees over here in SoCal. We've had unusually cool temperatures all summer but now it's back to normal.

87 degrees in central wyoming... whew... that's hot (lol)... supposed to get down into the upper 40's tonite! ...D

Not for sure what it topped out at here but to hot to do much and still be safe with out taking lots of breaks and having lots of water on hand. I know on the 6 PM news they said it was a 106 heat index at that time so was higher in the after noon

Spent the day inside a grain bin. WHEW! It wasn't fun at all, but I had access to my son's truck for the day and I had to take advantage of it. Turns out there was 2500 bushels more corn in there than I had anticipated and the price went up 8 cents so that helps a bit.

While I was in the bin I kept telling myself "thirty years ago I'd stack bales under the hot tin roof and still have enough energy to play a round of golf in the evening, walking, no less". Not gonna happen anymore. Jim

Our thermometer said 101 yesterday, said heat index was 114 on the weatherbug. Seen many a day in July here (central Kansas) with temps 108-110, but usually low humidity (like that would make a difference). Had a nice 1.3" rain last night.

Got up to 93 today... Don't think we have broken 100 this year yet. Usually have done that 20 or more times by this time of the year.... I don't mind it a bit. We even have green grass in the pastures. Don't know how much longer it will stay green.
