Thank you for the responses that have come in on this, the CASE and Farmall pages so far. We thoroughly cleaned, lightly sanded and oiled the fly weights yesterday. All seemed to be in order....
We will check for side to side movement and make sure the rotor "snaps" back when turned forward with your fingers.
Question: Is there any part below the area with the four flyweights, (the 90 degree "elbow" area) which contributes to the timing advance system? We did not go into that area.
