Anyone plant large hop trefoil/ golden clover?

I finally trakced down what the heck is in my red clover field.. Its large hop trefoil. It looks like a clover but has the small yellow bulbs on it.. I kinda like it. ANyone else like it or know if you can even buy it? seems more like a weed to me but the cattle love it and it grows good on the farm

The highway dept. plants lots of it along roads
in Wisconsin.

Another name for the trefoils is lotus. Not sure of the variety you're talkig about.

I had quite a bit in the wetter areas. Critters liked it, but I found it pretty much dried up into nothing and lost all the leaves when you hayed it.

We had some horse hay that had a little bit of it mixed in and they would not eat it. Well, they ate the rest of the hay but left the trefoil behind.
