Yeah Kevin - Just waiting to see how Penfield, IL was. Post pictures as you are able.

Post below kinda somes up my weekend up. Traded an antique pull Saturday to work in the morning and go for the BIG BOYS at Henry Saturday night. Took wife and daughter so got talked into tilling the horse arena Sunday afternoon - BUT had troubles with the pickup. Missed Haert of Illinos Fair pulls.

Gonna go home hit the key, get BFH, call tow truck or leave the keys in and let someone STEAL it.

Any advice?

PS: Emden Homecoming is this weekend.

south wind and a wooden match 'll fix that pickup right quick!!! what 'r you doin foolin around at all them shows?? you should be gettin farm work done!! did you ever get them tires mounted up yet????

Toolz:

I broke down and bought me a pro trak trailer over the gator due to $2000 difference. I think the 3 problems you addressed with yours may have been changed. The paint is now powdercoated, the stake pockets/rub rail have pieces of pipe welded between them every so often to strengthen them, and last their frame doesn't have that torque flex deal anymore, it is a pierced frame. I guess the angle going between the 2 I beams strengthen it. This is all shown on their website. Time will tell I guess, time to start hauling the 4430 to the pulls.

Thanks

You "STILL" on vaction?

Molly(daughter) kinda wants a short vacation. When is the Yorkville Rock Chuckin festival with fresh tomatoes, corn and pulled equine?

Kinda think'n we could put the girls to bed early and learn how to climb one of them wind turbines! Prolly have to stay out at the Secret Mens Club cabin that night - Smillen John up for it? At least come pick us up.

Jim- Penfield was again a great show, but my "gotta do it all" attitude kinda wore me out. Got up Sat morning at 5:30, loaded up the first load (G705 and 560), up to the show, back for second load (1175, plow, golf cart) and unloaded at Penfield by about 1:30. Got on the 560, fired it up and snap went the injection pump shaft, dead tractor. Hit the field with the G705 and plowed for a while, cooled off and got ready for the pulls. LOTS of tractors! Two sleds running. Made a pass with the 705, didn't do so good, made a pass with the 1175, had to hit the brakes at the road to keep from running over the spectators. I guess the sled malfunctioned- the old thing don't like speed very much. Came back last and made a solid run near the top of the pack, but one of my new injector lines was leaking. Got home about 11:00. Sun morning loaded up some tools and back up to fix the tractors. 1175 was easy, but found the pump problem on the 560, no fixy. Crowd really thinned out on Sun afternoon, but still had quite a few tractors for the pull. Won with the 1175, but not many in the class. Now for the hard part- gotta get all the junk home. PITA getting the 560 on the trailer, but got the first load home by about 8:00, back up for the second load, and home by 11:00. Two loooong days with not much sleep, but fun anyways. Didn't get hardly any time to look at the show stuff, and way too much time hauling. Not gonna do that next year- one load only! Didn't take one picture, hope somebody will post some. More red tractors than you could count- I'd guess 400+? and plenty of others also. Hot, but no rain for once. The club members really work their tails off for this deal, and it makes for quite the event. Can't wait till next year!

Can't make the Homecoming- leaving on vacation Fri evening for a week, so will miss Stanford, probably won't pull the antiques till Minier, hope the 560 will be fixed by then. Maybe I'll bring the 900 and the "900". See you then.

4010- Don't know about the paint, but mine didn't last. The pipes in the rub rail are an improvement. Mine is pierced frame low profile like the new ones, plus has a torque tube, but flexes a lot. Yours better have the torque tube, or you will be disappointed. Good luck, and I hope it does the job for you. I had 22,000 lbs on mine this weekend, it moved around a lot, but nothing broke.
