Has anyone wondered how they clean out the hay in the middle of the bale so evenly round without the bale collapsing?

I know that's what the plywood is for, it's the getting bale cleaned out that I'm wondering about. Any way it was done wouldn't be easy on a hard core bale.

Prolly put the plywood "drum" in the baler and then started the bale around it!
Just a thought!
