hey folks,
had the clutch replaced on my kia about a year ago. Every now and then after a real hard run on the autobahn or pulling a trailer things smell a little clutchy. Never really gave much thought to the fact that the clutch doesn't engage until right at the top of the pedal travel (within 2 inches).
Drove my wife's Kia sorento today and the clutch starts to engage or disengages at the bottom of the travel. It's hydraulic so don't know if it can be adjusted, but what could cause this (or is it not an issue)? When the clutch was done, the slave cylinder was replaced also.

Thanks,

Dave

some have adjustments at the slave cyl..
others have adjustments at the master cyl..
some need to be bleed to get the pedal height back,
Others must be rebuilt when it drops down to the floor level, but you have new slave and master...

or could be the pressure plate is wierd/worn along with the disc..

Try to adjust, try to bleed, it it doesent slip, live with it.. if it does slip, rebuild everything including pressure plate. check fork and new throwout bearing in the process. check pilot bearing while there.

some Kia's have a pedal height adjustment nob at the top of the pedal....this adjusts where in the travel it engages as well
