I've been using my D19 gasser around the place for small chores quite a bit since the hydraulics are out on my other, smaller tractor. Looks like rain for the first time in a month here today. I've got some things I need to do before it rains, so I had it running, warming up. Went into the house to get something, came out and it was dead. Out of gas, AGAIN! The fuel gauge doesn't work, so I usually just pay attention to how much I've been using it. I guess I used it more than I thought yesterday. And we're fresh out of gasoline! Trip to town.

You folks warned me about how thirsty this beast is, but I bought it anyway! I've got a non-running Ford 5000 diesel that looks like it might just get worked on this winter....

Now you see why I have so many tractors on my place. By having so many you have at least one for every job you hope LOL.
As for rain we have been getting just enough to keep me from cutting hay. Last night around midnight it did rain and we got a 1/2 inch which we where needing bad.
Oh as for you gas problem find an old plastic saddle tank from an old truck and use it to store your gas in that is if you can afford to fill it up. I did that a couple years ago but 40 gals of gas got to the point I could not keep it filled up for some reason LOL
