john deere 1120 tractor

can't get 1120 to start has fuel and is turning over but won't start been set up for about a year.

Has the engine shut off knob actually pushed the injection pump lever all the way to the run position?
Is there smoke and the odor of unburned fuel?
Is the engine cranking too slow to start?
Has somebody drained the fuel tank? Is there water in the bottom of the tank?
