Hydraulic Cylinder Question

I recently purchased a 1967 F-600 with a 16' grain body. The dump is a scissors type with 2 rams. Both are leaking. The cylinders are part of a welded in frame and cannot be removed without a lot of cutting, but there is a collar on them held on by a set screw. Is it possible to re-pack such a cylinder without removing it? All of the other ones I have ever worked on had to be completely disassembled. I do not know the manufacturer of the body, but the control knob in the cab has "Harsh" on it.

You might just to need to tighten the packing nut. Most of these type cylinders have a packing under that collor that you see. If you take out the set screw than try turning the collar clockwise and see if it is threaded. If it is tighten it down tight but still lose enough that the weight of the bed will retract it.
