neighbors son is scrapping iron in their timber. found 4 old annhydrous tanks so far, about 150 gallon or so. they look to be empty, but didnt give em a shake or anything. prolly been there 40 years or so. they are not on running gear, must have been hard mounted to an applicator. any ideas on what to do to get rid of em???
(kruser would just remove the fittings and toss em on a brush fire, then hot wrench em)

What's the big deal... they're completely harmless when thoroughly vented.

A NASTY thought... put 'em on Craig's and watch the "cookers" come out of the woodwork!

That's what I am thinking. Folks who make smokers/grills will pay good money for a thick walled tank that size.

Caution!!!!! Need to be certain they arent propane tanks before putting torch to them.Werent some of them used for both purposes in past????

Why caution? Propane tanks like this?

Or like these fish cookers made from 100# propane tanks? You mean you can't just cut 'em open?
