Is this a Golden Eagle or? Out of my kitchen window an hour ago. About 40 yds out.

Looks like an immature Bald Eagle. They get white head and tail 5 to 7 years old.

I'd have to agree with (boyd)it's a young bald eagle. I see quite a few of them in central Missouri along the rivers. I really never thought I would.

Young Bald Eagle--A golden eagle's legs are entirely feather covered; an immature bald eagle's lower legs are bare.....like the one in your picture....cool picture by the way...

I watched a Bald Eagle pull a fish out of the Cape Fear River while I was fishing last week.
