Original post several days ago was about switching from 4" CI to 4" PVC. Lots of good replies to that post and appreciated them all.
I found a handy adapter at Michigan Pipe & Valve in Michigan Center, MI. It's about 8 1/2" long, has a SCH 40 4" PVC hub and basically the rest of it is a tapered insert ranging from 3 7/8" to 4 1/8". Hammer it in, it seals itself and take off with PVC. Looks pretty slick.
Gonna pick it up next week and give it a try. I'm thinking I can install it directly into the bottom of the CI wye that is built into the basement wall and build from there with 4" PVC.
Can't post the link(didn't realize till now that username had to be registered for that), but if you google Polylok you will get the manufacturer's home page. From there, use keyword Extend & Lok; technical specs, cad drawings and installation info are at the bottom of that page. Hopefully others will find this info to be useful as well.
Thanks to all who replied to this and my previous post. Have a great day!
