3rd 100-year flood in 4 years

Got 4 inches of rain this morning which followed 2.5 inches on Monday and Tuesday which followed a week of daily rain which followed a month of almost daily rain. Sure hope I don't get 8 inches of rain tonight, since that's what it seems to be building up to. My hay supply's gonna be tight again this winter unless I can get my cows to eat mud bales. Anyway, I should be good now for about 300 years, right?!

One of the local weather prognosticators blames it on sun spot activity combined with an increasing la ninia. Myself,I still wonder if that icelandic volcano is adding fuel to the fire.

Yeah, second half of May was on the cool side and June has been very wet. Already have reduced expectations on the soybeans due to less than optimum emergence. You can rotary hoe all you want but it has got to get into the 70's during the day to warm the heavy ground. Could not have gotten out with a rotary hoe if I wanted to this year. At least the corn looks good (as do 2/3 the soybeans).
