i opened the air cleaner on the farmall H and there was whitish oil? im not sure how water would have got in it. is the oil just so old it turned white or what?

condensation or rain blew in the breather. Doesn't turn white no matter how old it gets.

In high humidity periods you will get water condensation in those old oil bath air cleaners. I have several old tractor that are never outside or pressure washed off. They still have milky oil in the breather oil sometimes.

White sounds like moisture to me. Probably breathed some rain water or mist in.

I just changed oils in the Allis B Saturday. Engine oil and filter were due, but it was nice that the trans and rearend oil was in great shape before I changed it anyway, as was the oil bath for cleaning the breathing air. Antifreeze is in good shape, blades on the Woods are sharp, and the bearings and joints greased. Its ready for more mowing around the house.
