Is on the back of a 5-pack of Bic lighters. It sez: NO LIGHTER IS CHILDPROOF. Granted. It is the second line that is my favorite: THERE IS NO SUBSTITUTE FOR PROPER ADULT SUPERVISION. I love it! This statement needs to be put on the little blanket they wrap newborns in before they're sent home. Just my $.02 & spot of sunshine on yet another cloudy day. - Mike
 
Another one that could be applied to machinery is; This machine can injure or kill you. THERE IS NO SUBSTITUTE FOR COMMON SENSE. Dave
 
That disclaimer is about as plain common sense as they come. It's putting the responsibility on the parent where it should be! Jim

Love it! Great post, Crazy Red. Now all we need is that to pervade the rest of society. Unfortunately, it's a sad state of affairs when that little bit of common sense has to be PRINTED on a product.
 
What should be printed on every beer can and bottle is: This liquid can cause you to act like and azzhole, lose your job, and lose your family and your drivers license.
 
The problem these days is that there is nothing more uncommon than common sense. Possibly coming in a close second is taking responsibility for your own actions. Mix this with a little "board of education" and the world would be a lot better place.
 
I agree 1000% Unfortunately you have to able to read and you cannot believe the amount of people in these United States that cannot read. I see them everyday and you do too if you go to a fast food resteraunt look at the thier cash register it's all pictures for that and bilingual reasons.
