What are 986's bringing in you areas. I have one I am thinking about selling. It is a good running tractor, 4 post canopy, no TA, good trans, straight sheetmetal, 1 good rear tire, 1 good front, others hold air. I have a set of 9 bolt hubs on it. I also have the duals, but the tires on them are no count. The tractor shows 2800 hours and the hourmeter works but i can't gaurantee that it is correct. It came from a local tobacco farmer and I have been using it to bushhog. I have to many things going and would like to sell it. Let me know what ya'll think.

I'm not an IH man, but I saw 2 nice 986's at a sale about 6 weeks ago. One open station one 4 post. Not sure whether it had single or dual hydraulics now, dual pto with T/A's in pretty good condition as far as I could tell by tires and sheetmetal. They brought $6750 a piece. I thought that was a steal for that sized farm tractor.

6000 to 7000 dollars sounds right if the tractor is mechanically good and straight in appearance. A clean good 986 with cab and TA will bring 10500 to 13000.
