disc mower question

howdy,

Just curious as to whether anyone here has used an old two cylinder John Deere tractor with a three point disc mower? I am curious about how it performs and if it works well. I have a 720 diesel and have been toying around with the idea of purchasing a disc mower to replace my haybine, which has been severely going down hill lately. Thanks for the info. God bless.

I dont' know much about the john deere's but my brother uses a 9 foot pull behind discbine behind a farmall 460 gas and it doesn't have any problem with it at all.

Thanks for the info. I guess the main concern I have is with pto and vibration. For some reason, the two cylinders seem to create more vibration on pto implements than the smoother running four and six cylinder engines of other tractors. I noticed this with my haybine and my father-in-law noticed it with his 620 when he used it on his feed grinder. I just wondered if it did the same with a disc mower and if it caused problems.
