Well I tried to cut hay yesterday evening but had a brake down. Well I'm glad I did since the weather guesser got it wrong big time and it has been raining here for about 3 hours now.
Oh by the way it is not just electrical parts that you can let the smoke out of you can let the smoke out of parts that have bearing in them. Chain tension sprocket smoked on my NH460 and that sort of shut it down for some reason LOL
 
Yep,,,,,,,,,,, theres nothing so bad isn't some good in it...................
A dear departed ol Friend and neighbor told me that way back when and i think of it often,,,,,,,,,And him ...............
 
A few years ago, my dad let all the smoke out of a gearbox on our disc mower, but didn't notice until the smoke started escaping from the drive belt too. When that much smoke gets out, you really have to pay a lot of money to get it put back in.
 
What do you think about this weather in Missery now? I take it you all missed the five inch rain Monday night.
 
Another thing that will smoke is a PTO slip clutch. I got some branches wound up on my reel, and before I realized what was going on there was a lot of smoke fron that thing. Stan
 
me too ,, this evening the 489 nh gave up a bearing on the main drive belt , think that may have been the rat-a -tat noise i was hearing in a hard pull.../?easy enuf fix because i have a donar machine , 4 rounds in the field and scattered , smattered, smothered and floodedecd are in the MAYBE FORCAST BY THE WEAThER GUESSER wichdr .. GOD IS GOOD / ALL THE TIME, EVEN FOR GUYS LIKE ME ...
 
Bad thing is I have been holding off cutting for a week because the weather guessers have been calling for rain but not a drop then when I try to cut because they say no rain till Sunday we get rain. Guess the weather guessers are getting worse not better. I know about a decade ago if they said a 20% chance it would 20% all over you and then some
