Few weeks ago had local carpenter ( ok project manager out of work for 2 years due to housing slowdown) wrap ac-furnace and ducts in garage wrapped. noticed yesterday garage in now very warn as it was cool before wrap Got power bill today $15.00 lower and it's a little warmer outside. Cost $200.00 to do, should pay out well. To those saying they should get close to $90.00 an hour for any thing, this fellow remolded our house for $25.00 per hour and thanks us each time we meet. Any way the wrap was money well spent!!!!!!!

I've made curtains with foil-backed bubble wrap and fabric on both sides--In the winter, they roll up out of the way to let the sun in and I put them down at night. In the summer, I leave them down during the day to avoid overheating the house and put them up at night. Works wonders and paid for themselves in fuel savings within a few months.

Hi Wilson: Good going there.. Where there is a need, something can be made to work out most times withour breaking the bank... Back in the mid 1800"s the Western prarie settlers cut strips of sod to make walls for their sod homes.. Worked well. Got the sod off to make easier work out of getting ground ready for planting something else besides more grass...
A garden or some wheat etc.. .ag
