The sweet corn patch is near ready as there was one ear on the ground that had been tested by the coons. Guess its time to get the traps out before they get it all.

It cost me 65 dollars for wire, and posts and electric box to put three low wires around my 35x
125 foot plot.

LOL good dog in that area would help a lot as long as he does not knock it all down. Or if you plot if big enough for it a propane cannon helps. Or as Gordo say fence it with a fence that bites back that is what I had to do around my chicken pin

Bottom wire about 5 inches off the ground. Spray intended line with RU, then when yellow weedwhack it down. Then 2 more wires at 6inch intervals.
Coon isn't likely to see the wire at night, and won't come back after walking into it. I used a single strand of fence wire from power unit to fence, on post close to power supply with just a 25 foot ex cord from house to unit.

Get those box traps set! Use cheap tuna. It's about the only thing that gets their attention when they are after fresh corn on the cob!
