Lucas Fuel Additive

You just have to like something that makes your job easier. I have a Troy Built Pony roto-tiller and a JD 112 GT. Both would not idle, they kept surging and then would die. I added a generous portion of Lucas Fuel Injector Cleaner to the fuel and then work them hard. Both are now idling smooth. and to think I was going to rebuild the carbs. I am a believer in Lucas products.

I have a white 6195 and it always hea leaky gasket problems but when I started using Lucas oil additive in it all the problems were fixed! I am and always be a Lucas believer

I had two different cars with auto tranny trouble. One wouldnt shift up maybe at high RPM if you sort of helped it. The other got loosey goosey between shifts. I added a can of Lucas Auto Tranny fix BOTH STARTED WORKING PERFECT IN LESS THEN 100 MILES AND STILL ARE

You could have poured in some gas line antifreeze and had the same results. Alcohol and mineral solvents are the same stuff no matter what the bottle says.
As for stopping oil leaks and restoring auto transmission function. It isn't difficult to find something that will swell cork, rubber etc. Even brake fluid will do that.

My right knee is giving me a lot of pain but after I spilled some lucas on it it got to feeling a lot better after the burning went away. Seriously I did see some lucas power steering leak fixer work a wonder on a ford ps pump that was leaking like a sieve.

You Lucas Lovers SURE have built a nice stadium!

Must be some DARNED good stuff!

Forrest Lucas is a local boy, and his products do a lot for the local economy...so you won't hear ME say anything bad about his products!

You obviously have never tried a Lucas product. I am also VERY skeptical of the "miracle in a bottle" products out there, but I have tried Lucas transmission fix and it DID work. Good enough for me. I have 2 neighbors who also tried it and it worked for them, too.

Some of their additives may be ok but their oils do not test well. Usually near the bottom of the list.

If you have good oil and a good running engine you do NOT need any additives (lucas or other brands). Many additives have chlorides in them which WILL damage your engine.

I've used the PS leak stuff and it appears to have worked but long term I'm skeptical.

I'm a fan of Lucas and also Sea-foam. Both are good products, I've seen a demo on Lucas and how the oil treatment works. Good stuff.

Lucas is Good stuff!. I AM a Strong Promoter of all LUCAS products including LUCAS HUBSEALER .. And have spoke With Forrest Lucas personally on many occassions ...DO NOT USE sea foam in engine oils as suggested , only USE in fuel tanks , And it Will do a GREAT JOB ,, SO will E -85 ... crusty crud can break loose and spin a rod bearing on chevy celebrities when seafoam is in the crankcase , guess how i know ???.... Be careful how you use any product that will Stop Leaks in trannys ,.. the roller bearings can gunk up with all the filth in the tranny , depending on the science employed to stop the leaks

Used Lucas tranny fix in a tired 800 Case-o-Matic about 2 yrs back , slippingout of direct drive under a heavy load ,,, drove it like that for for 15 years on the haybine .. NO change ,Pressure was about 60 % that it should be , Found a like new Pump and Torque convertor last fall and bought them , to swap out but never got a roundtuit,.. few days ago the Case-O -matic started working like it is supposed to,, With Full pressure , apparantly a valve was stucksomewhere ????... Anyone need parts for a Case-O-matic???

Just passed 400k miles on my "06 chevy. Pulled trailers constantly for the first 250,000 miles, more weight than I should"ve. 18 trips over the mountains to California. Lucas in the oil, tranny, rear end, and occaisonally fuel. All are still going strong. Can"t help but think it"s helped some, especially in the tranny. Original tranny fluid from the factory, not burnt.

80,000 miles so far, so I guess it depends on your definition of "a while". Also, I don't know from experience what brake fluid does when added to a transmission, but I DO know what transmission fluid does when added to a master cylinder. The neighbor's teenage son decided there really wasn't much difference. New master cylinder, calipers, proportioning valve, rear brake cylinders, both front and 1 rear rubber hoses due to swelling in all rubber hoses and seals and about 10 hours of work. I think I'll skip the brake fluid experiment.
