Tractor Tire Weight Guess - Loaded w/calcium

I am wondering how much a set of 15.5 x 38 tractor tires and rims loaded w/calcium might weigh? They are off a Farmall 400. I intend on hauling them in a Dodge Ram 2500 4x4 w/helper springs. Any guesses appreciated. Thanks.

According to my chart, there is somewhere between 663 and 707 lbs of total fluid in each tire if loaded stem full. Plus tire/rim. If you aren't hauling the cast centers, that'll help a bunch. Biggest problem is gonna be the weight is going to make the truck bed want to spread on thew side they are hanging over. Just my SWAG but I'd guess somewhere north of 1,000 lbs a piece.

this is the Firestone site for hydroinflaion they show a 3.5 and a 5 lb mix.

I hauled a similar weighted set about 15 years ago in a 2500 series GMC. The weight was not an issue but the load will be top heavy and unbalanced side-to-side because the tires must rest on one side of the bed.

Drive accordingly.

Somewhere in the vicinity of 3000 # total. If you have a HD 3/4 ton (8 bolt axle) you will be fine. If you have the glorified 1/2 ton with helper springs.... probably a bit much for comfort.

Putting them on a trailer would be your best bet. Easier to load and unload, and less chance of damaging the sides of the bed. I only hauled my tires in the bed because they weren't loaded with calcium.
