tractor info..

will go look at couple tractors next week.. wiil somebody give me some information about these tractors,, 1.. dexter diesel. [ owner dont know the model/year ] .. 2 a oliver super 55, with gas engine.. what are the strong /weak points of these tractors.. i know nothing about a dexter diesel.. i have been around some olivers.. which would be the best tractor, if both were in similar cond.. thanks to all

First of all, you might want to learn it's a Ford DEXTA diesel.

THIS is a "dexter"...

thanks for the nice reply.. talked to the owner on phone he described it as dexter... i appreciate the info.

Actually, it is a FORDSON Dexta diesel. British built from late 1950s to early 1960s, 144 cu.in. 3 cylinder engine, 3x2 transmission. Live PTO was optional via 2-stage clutch. I don't have any personal experience with them but have never heard anything bad about them.
