Woods mower deck question (from Allis board)

I tried this on the allis board and got four replies that the pto rotation wouldn't be right. I just got an Allis B project tractor which didn't have any attatchments. The Allis B I've been running has a 6' woods belly mower. I've just traded some hay for a 5'(?) woods belly mower with IH mounts.
Yesterday I tried routing the belt on the new deck just like the old deck and the rotation seems correct to me. I didn't mount the deck or look at the idler pulleys so there may be some issues there. Has anyone actually done this? Would it be better to just look for an allis mount? I'm kinda thinking the decks are the same for both tractors (rotation wise) and how the belt is routed determines rotation. Any woods experts out there?

If it turns the wrong way all it takes is a belt twist to change it. (routed like "8" instead of "0")

Sometimes you just have to make something work. Mounting the mower and studying the hardware and how it can be altered if needed is all it takes most of the time. One of the reasons I never ask how to do things on the boards. Most of the time you will get (opinions) from those without foresight or working knowledge.

look at your blades to see which way they need to rotate to cut. Woods mowers have blades to cut clockwise and a different set to cut counterclockwise( all three blades will be the same). also the spindles are left hand thread and right hand thread depending on the blades
good luck
