any road construction or problem areas from i-55 in st louis out to rolla on i-44? gonna be heading that way in a couple weeks, really hate the i-55 thru st louis, maybe take the 270 north bypass around.

Between pacific and hwy 100 washington exit, (5 miles) They are adding lanes. Pouring concrete at night. Dont know how the backups are dont drive to work anymore (retired). You can bypass it by getting off at the six flags exit and going under 44 to the south side of the interstate. That is old hwy route 66. It goes through a couple small towns, Pacific and Grey summit. Slower speed limit but moveing if the trafic is blocked up on 44. From six flags exit to 100 washington exit is close to 10 or 12 miles.AT hwy 100 you can get right back on 44. There is two big truck stops there. There is also a place just before you get to sullivan where you have to slow down to use a by pass where they are redoing a bridge. Pay att. to the slow down signs there. going to fast and you will tip over. sharp turn and off set drop for a interstate. hope this helps Sam

Would you believe it has been years since I was over to Rolla, but it is only 75 miles from me. Farmall Hal live over that way maybe he will answer this one for you. You know when your over this way you could always stop in ans say Hi and or maybe even throw a few hay bales for me LOL

Northbound I55 is backed up due to construction from the Herculaneum exit 180 up for about 8-10 miles to just south of St. Louis. They are adding pipe in the medium and apparently putting in more lanes. Highway M on 55 is blocked off because they are redoing the ramps.

We took the south route the end of last April. Came into St Louis on I-64 from the east to I-255 south. Stayed on it till it turned into I-270, crossed over I-44 and on up to Hwy. 40-61, then west to I-70 heading towards KC. Was little traffic and no construction. Made good time.

Came out of Green Bay last week. I55 had some construction north of East St Louis. Traffic was flowing 40- 50 mph. Best time is around south side, I 255 to I 270 to I44. Maintained speedlimit all the way.

i may plan a trip this fall and do a solo and leave the family at home and do some visiting. gotta stop and see hal, and then stop over by your place rich, give ya a hand baling and stuff in general. then maybe zoom on down and the howell's too!!! wonder if kruser is gonna be busy....
