This wouldn't be the "big hay" that you mowed a couple of weeks ago when you got tired of continuous bad forecasts would it?

Nice. My hay is not quite ready (NW PA, right up at the NY border), there's an older farmer down the road who I "watch" - when he cuts, I cut. Like my bellweather.

I can't wait!

Do I recall seeing a pic a while back where you were pulling a 7 foot NH Haybine? If so, I have a Ford 3000 diesel and am thinking of buying a haybine. Would like to ask you a few questions. Thanks!

Now, that's my kind of hayin'! Looking at someone else's pictures.

There won't be much haying for us this year- usually have a custom operator put up about 600 bales for us- but Mrs. keeps selling a couple horses every year, so this year, all we have to do is haul about 250 bales from one farm to another, and we're done! We'll invite the kids for a wienie roast, then surprise them with a "little project" while we're waiting for the fire to get just right. . .

I'm curious. Is your mower not set very low, or has that hay been laying there for about 10 days?

I drop in the field as well and then use a pick-up truck and trailer to pick up. Unfortunately, I seldom have the helpers other than the wife. She drives the truck and I stack. Regardless, I would much rather stack hay as compared to a fitness gym workout - much more fun.
