How long as the automatic translator been active? Just noticed it this A.M.; running IE 7 (I think) on a XP machine. When I 'hover' over a word, I get a translation into some language which is not what we speak around 'here'.

external_link had asked Bill Gates to put that in early this year. It is to help with our diversity.

Yep, told him he was making too much money and he'd let him slide if he'd push out his conformation program.

For those that don't have it yet, protect yourself, it can't infiltrate your computer as long as you are actively doing something while the phone or LAN cable is connected. As soon as your not doing anything on the internet, unplug the cable and stick the end in a glass jar or DR Pepper bottle...........
Just can't be too careful these days.......

BTW.....You can take your favorite everday hat and line the inside w/ tinfoil (shiney side touching the cap/hat) and it'll serve the same purpose without making you stand out like a geek.

My computor started with that crap last week and I couldn't fix it but got some expert help 10 year old grandson and had it eliminated in a couple of minutes. I have no desire to learn Spanish or Chinese.

It just started on its own.........XP pro, wasn't doing it on XP home on another computer; when I had a minute to look, found a 'translator' button on the toolbar and fixed it.

These new computers have GPS, Thurlow. They know where you are. It probably noticed you were situated south of the Mason-Dixon line and automatically provided translation services. (;>))
