OT/ killing flies with a knife. NOT A TRICK !

Anyone fast enough to chop off the head of flies with a butter knife?

Actualy you can bet some serious money on this and win without any type of trick at all.

For those who call this stupid, hold you coments till you prove yourself wrong.

The best time is when you are at a picknic, and all the flies are just hanging out with all their friends and kin folks.

KEEP IT SLOW and at a 90 degree angle with the body. Make a slow continuous motion.

The secret is the fly can see his own reflection, and thinks another fly is hanging out.

I have won lots of ice cream from this one, and no one will hesitate to bet with you.

Now, just in case some one is in need of some flies, I have extras.
 
I had a great uncle who would sit on the front porch all day killing flies that landed on his knee with his pocket knife. Really fascinated us little ones; when he died my brother asked for the knife.
 
another favorite of mine is the old "fly on a leash" trick....I've done this personally, although it is hard...Find someone with REALLY long hair, pluck out a single strand, catch & stun a large fly ...usually shaking it hard in your hand works..or throwing it against a wall or floor...then tie the hair around the fly's middle body...If you did it right, within 5 minutes the fly snaps out of it and is now on a 2 foot leash.....

If you want to kill a fly with your hand start to blow on the fly soft and then blow a little harder then hit the flywith you hand
 
Reminds me of the western, guy sitting at a train station, fly lands on his chin, he tries to blow it away, then it lands on the wall and he traps it in the barrel of his six shooter.
 
Yes; started to say he's retired in southern Oregon someplace, then thought to look him up--turns out he died 11-20-03 in Ashland, home of Oregon Shakespearean Theater group...
Also started to say he likes to hear from people who liked his work; sent him a note awhile back, got a gracious reply...thought it was just 3-4 years ago at most...
Enjoy the days; they get away faster every year...
 
Flies can't take off flying if still walking. They have to come to a stop first.Very easy to swat one when it is walking.

I tell you what i would do. I'd catch the fly first I usually win the bet that i can take the wings off a fly. If you are fast you can catch a fly by goig towards the head with your open hand. That is the direction they fly, ones they see your hand's shadow, right into your hand. Now close quickly and you're done.
