What is this tool?

Found this tool in scrap pile. cleaned it up ,painted it .Don"t know what it is or what it"s used on ,or for. You old timers (like me) would know .I"ve lived a very sheltered life.lol

A little googling shows there is a GM tool J-5814 that is used to "install speedometer gear to output shaft" on a 1966-1982 Corvette powerglide (that's the years the manual covers). Might explain spd gear?

You may only have a part of the whole thing. (see specialty tools) # 6 numbers match except -01

Thanks OLD ROY. Right on the money. We were to poor to have a corvette, still am. Looks like we are missing the 2 long threaded bolts w/nuts. Looks like it's going to be a paper weight now. lol. Thanks again LOU.
