I just closed my ebay account. One too many screwups with paypal. I don't know why anybody would use that crappy system.

I sold an item, my ebay profile says I was paid, went to paypal and there is no record of any money paid to me, this was 8 days ago....paypal sucks!!!

I have sold a few things with no problems yet. With out ebay I have no other way to sell some of my old motorcycle junk. Where else can I put a beat up exhaust pipe for a 52 harley for sale, and get almost 300.00 for it? What made me a little nervous was buying motorcycle parts for my 68 Yamaha from Thailand. That pay pal transaction went well. The problem I have with ebay is people not describing parts correct. Stan

I have been using Paypal for many years and have yet to have the first problem with the paypal system. For me it is slicker than snot on a door knob. I receive and order by phone or email and I invoice using the Paypal invoice and the customer has it in their email instantly. People can then pay instantly and I can ship the same day in most cases. I just bought truck parts from Advanced Auto using Paypal and they shipped the same day to me. The second day the parts were in my hands. I also buy tractor parts from some AGCO dealer using Paypal.

Someone had used Paypal to syphon $200 out of my bank account. I didn't even use Paypal. Paypal was supposed to refund my money. I'd check back in two weeks to see where my money was, and I'd get some guy that says there was no record of my last call... This happened 3 times, and I can only assume that the people at Paypal were the ones that stole the money in the first place. I never did get the $200 recovered.

Yeah, they play the "it will take 2 weeks" to refund your money. Heres the thing most people dont know about paypal. THERE IS NO BUYER PROTECTION UNLESS THE TRANSACTION IS THROUGH EBAY. If you send someone money for a transaction and they never deliver you are screwed. At least with a credit card you can dispute the transaction. I had they happen and I called paypal. It was a $350 transaction. They basically said there was nothing they could do. When I fussed long enough they said they would refund $100 to me but it would take 2 weeks. They never did send the money.

Don't get me started on payscam.

I sell handmade furniture and musical instruments on a site that supports paypal. I had no sales till I signed up and now have had a few, so I'm all for it. Never had a problem with it yet, but who knows?

you don't have to use paypal.I sold two tractors
last week on ebay without paypal.Just ask for cash on pickup.Buyers will either pay cash or you can set the payment terms off ebay.

i just made my first purchase, ive been staying away from ebay due to all the posted problems but i found out with my new old tractor if i dont do ebay i dont get no parts, lol, my parts came right through without a problem and condition was just as the photo showed, im pleased with my paypal experience

I would reopen your paypal account. Have had
just under 500 transactions. My one problem was
corrected in less than 24 hours. And, it was my
fault to begin with.
Also, have found paypal simplifies my book keeping at tax time. I buy all kinds of tractor
parts
