ford 800 loses power

My ford 800 loses power after running for about 15 minutes. At first I thought it was vapor-locking (in the middle of a summer day in Louisiana) but now realize that if it stops working hard the engine still will run but won"t take any acceleration or work load. I turn off the PTO and throttle down and it runs okay but will die if I attempt to start bush-hogging again (that is to say, asking the tractor to work hard again). My question is,"Is this an electrical problem or something with the governor?" Thanks to whomever responds!

#1 remove the fuel cap and see if that cures it.
#2 Clean the sediment bowl.
#3 Replace the ignition coil.

Well could be a few things. As the others have said. When it starts doing that check your spark it needs to be a blue/white and jump a 1/4 inch gap. If your spark is good check for a vacuum locked tank or a boiling tank either one will case that problem. Also check your fuel flow by removing the drain plug from the bottom of the carb and let it flow for a few minutes catch the gas so as to reuse it and to look at it for rust/dirt/water
