OT RAIN!!!!

Got off work at 2:30, rain coming, wanted to try to finish planting beans, Drove into hard rain and hail coming home (7 miles). 2 and 1/4"s rain by 4. Cleared off for about a 1/2 hour and it's pouring again. Water everywhere and gulleys washing in the fields. Supposed to clear up about dark and another chance of thunderstorms tomorrow. NW Illinois, 30 miles west of Rock Island. Chris

Ya here in Missouri we got it around 2:30 or so. I tried to finish the small amount of hay I had down but the rain and equipment had other ideas. Got only an 1 or so but it came down fast and hard. Guy had left his Skid steer in the creek because of loosing a wheel from broken lug bolts so had to go down and pull it out. Sure isn't easy to drive one of them with only 3 wheels on but I did get it out

The rain let up again, sun shining and light rain falling. Checked the rain guage again at 6:15PM, 3.3" total so far today. The wind was blowing so hard this time, rain was blowing into the roof vent for the bathroom fan and dripping on the floor. I'm guessing most of the beans I planted on the hills are now at the bottom in the mud. Chris
