JD 730 problem

My 730 electric start keeps gaining oil in the crankcase but the hydraulic system keeps loosing oil. It seems that the oil from the hyd. system is going into the crankcase. Is that possible and if so where is the problem? Thanks guys. I"ve learned alot from you guys

The hydraulic pump drives off the bottom of the flywheel side and the drive gears are lubed with engine oil. Apparently your hydraulic pump is leaking somewhere. My guess is that the pump drive shaft seal is leaking but perhaps the pump housing has an internal crack.
