the lift quit any sugestion to try first it was working and just stopped it is a 283 masey furgeson

First is to drain the system, then change the filter and clean everything up as best you can. Put in new fluid, keep the buckets it came in. If it works, great. If not, drain the new fluid back into the buckets, and go get a wrench. Actually, a bunch o' wrenches.
