hydraulic oil how much does it take and is this the rear axle also and will the hydraullic oil that I use for my massey 283 work
This is for a H farmall in th 40 I guess.

Hydrolicks are seperate from anything else and if remember correctly just used engine oil, been 30 years tho.

After you get this straightened out, get yourself a manual. The manual will tell you what oil goes where, how much of it is needed, etc. etc..

The belly pump is a separate unit from the rear end. It uses Hy-Tran fluid or compatible these days. Originally it used SAE 30 engine oil, but since they've invented Hy-Tran, everyone uses that instead.

Really it's not fussy about what oil you use, and the Massey hydraulic fluid you use in your 283 is probably hy-tran compatible anyway.
